Kinship
A shared travel journal for couples — one journey, two voices
The best couple's travel journal is not two copies of the same itinerary. It is one journey holding two viewpoints — the moment one of you loved, the photograph the other took, the thing only one of you noticed.
- 1
Create the journey once and keep the days and stops there — that is the shared spine of the trip.
- 2
Invite your partner from Kinship. They can contribute photographs, notes and voice recordings to the same journey, without sharing an account.
- 3
Keep a moment each, on your own phones, as things happen. Two different photographs of the same evening are exactly what makes the journal worth re-reading.
- 4
Once a day, look back together over a drink or before bed. Choose the moment that stays — that is the entry, and a lovely small ritual in itself.
- 5
Invite others only if you want them: a Guest Journal link or QR code lets friends and family add wishes or photographs of their own, without an account.
- 6
Shape the itinerary into pages in Studio, then edit together: whose words go where, which photographs carry each day, and what the cover should be.
- 7
Publish the finished issue to your Library as your shared keepsake. Keep it private for the two of you, share with kin, or — your choice entirely — make it discoverable on inEchoes.
Good to know
- Agree on one prompt a day: 'What I did not expect today.' Answering the same question from two angles is what makes a couple's journal sing.
- Divide the roles naturally rather than formally — one photographs, one writes, and swap now and then. The journal should never feel like homework.
- Anniversaries and honeymoons: a Guest Journal with a prompt like 'Share a wish for the couple' lets guests join without crowding the private journal.
- A private couple's journal can still have a public life later — a single shared chapter on inEchoes, with the rest kept just for you.
